Carmine’s love for travel and hospitality started at a young age. In 2004, he founded the company after gaining invaluable experience as the youngest driver and guide in Southern Italy at the time. Working for some of the most prestigious travel companies in the region, he quickly built a reputation for excellence, professionalism, and personalized service.
Recognizing a need for more intimate and customized travel experiences, Carmine set out to create a company that focuses on delivering tailor-made journeys for travelers seeking to explore Italy beyond the usual tourist paths. A deep dive into the Amalfi
A plaque under Amalfi’s Porta Marina bears this inscription “The judgment day, when Amalfitans go to Heaven, will be a day like any other”. One visit to Amalfi and this is easy to understand. Tucked in between the mountains and the sea is Amalfi, a favorite of many visitors due to its scenic beauty, original architecture and glorious history as a powerful maritime republic. The Museo della Carta (Museum of Paper) finds its home in a 15th century mill; paper samples, tools of the trade, and old machinery, offer an enlightening experience.
Capri: A favorite retreat of the Roman emperors
One of the most celebrated islands in the Mediterranean, Capri is easily reached by ferry or hydrofoil from Sorrento. Tucked between two mountains, the village of Capri is linked together by hilly streets, olive groves and garden terraces. The heart of the village is Piazza Umberto, where people gather at shops and cafes. By night, the solitude of the island gives way to a lively and beautifully lit piazzetta. By day a boat trip leaving from the Marina Grande can take you to explore the fabled Grotta Azzurra (Blue Grotto), Capri’s greatest natural wonder.
Herculaneum, the Resort of the Romans
Unlike nearby Pompeii, a primarily mercantile town, Herculaneum’s economy was not based on commerce and crafts, although they flourished, as exhibited by the many household articles found. The town was actually a well-known high-class resort which contained many elegant, elaborate patrician residences, “custom homes” having a wealth of luxurious decorations, often situated in panoramic positions on the slopes of the vineyard covered hills. Life in Herculaneum moved at a fairly gentle pace, relaxation was an important part of the Roman patricians’ leisure time.
